The invention provides a tire separation mechanism and tire dismantling machine, relates to the field of tire dismantling machine, and solves the problems of easy damage of cylinder and large stroke of the tire separation mechanism in the prior art. The tire separation mechanism includes a spindle nose bracket for connecting an external support, a cylinder arranged on the spindle nose bracket, an upper swing rod and a lower swing rod hinged in the spindle nose bracket, and a tire separation disc connected to the end of the lower swing rod and away from the upper swing rod. The end, far from the upper swing rod, of the lower swing rod extends outside the spindle nose bracket; the upper swing rod comprises a first portion in parallel with the top of the cylinder, and a second portion in a preset angle with the first portion; the lower swing rod is hinged to one end, far from the first portion, of the second portion; when the cylinder is ventilating and ejected, the first portion moves to the ejection direction of the cylinder, and the second portion swings and drives the swing of the lower swing rod, so that the tire separation disc is in a protraction state. The scheme provided by the invention shortens the cylinder stroke and prolongs the service life of the cylinder.
