The invention discloses a power supply converter, a charger, a charging system and a charging method. The power supply converter comprises a power factor correction PFC circuit, a DC bus capacitor, apower conversion circuit and a controller. The first end of the PFC circuit is used for being connected with an alternating current, the second end of the PFC circuit is used for being connected withthe first end of the power conversion circuit, and the direct current bus capacitor is connected to the second end of the PFC circuit in parallel. The power conversion circuit is used for converting the electric energy provided by a device under the control of the controller and then charging the direct-current bus capacitor, and the controller is used for controlling the power conversion circuitto convert the electric energy provided by the device before the first end of the PFC circuit is connected with the alternating current and then charging the direct current bus capacitor. According tothe power converter, the hardware device, such as a pre-charging circuit, etc., does not need to be additionally arranged, the size of the power converter is reduced, and the production cost of the power converter is reduced.
