The invention relates to the technical field of port equipment, in particular to a rope supporting frame for a crossing type quay crane. The rope supporting frame (4) can move back and forth on an external trolley girder rail (5). The rope supporting frame (4) comprises a carrier roller (41), a carrier roller frame (42) and carrier roller wheels (44), the carrier roller (41) is horizontally arranged on the carrier roller frame (42) and used for bearing a moving external trolley lifting steel wire rope (8) and a moving external trolley walking steel wire rope (9), and at least two rotatable carrier rollers (44) are installed on the side, close to the external trolley girder rail (5), of the carrier roller frame (42). The two rotatable carrier roller wheels (44) are arranged on the externaltrolley girder rail (5). The movable rope supporting frame structure is adopted, interference with a quay crane girder is avoided structurally, movement of the external trolley steel wire rope is guaranteed, and stable operation of the crossing type quay crane is guaranteed.
