The invention belongs to the field of electric vehicles, and discloses an electric vehicle battery equalization method and equipment. The method comprises the steps: obtaining an initial voltage value of each single battery in an electric vehicle battery when the electric vehicle battery is discharged or charged; judging whether to discharge or charge the single battery according to the voltage value corresponding to the single battery and the current electric quantity of the mobile energy storage module; and balancing the battery of the electric vehicle based on the discharging voltage value or the charging voltage value of the single battery acquired in real time. And the electric energy can be recycled in the process of carrying out battery equalization maintenance on the module or the single battery cell by utilizing the energy storage equipment so that the maintenance cost is reduced.
