The invention relates to the technical field of aerostats, and provides a parachute-free free balloon pod system, which comprises a pod; a first mooring line, wherein the upper end of the first mooring line is used for being connected with a free balloon, and the lower end of the first mooring line is connected with a pull ring; a second mooring line, wherein the first end of the second mooring line is connected with the top of the pod, and the second end of the second mooring line penetrates through the pull ring to be connected with the interior of the pod; and a cutter, which is arranged in the pod, is close to the second end of the second mooring line and is used for cutting the second mooring line. According to the system, the safety and reliability of the cutter are improved while the weight is not increased as much as possible.
