The invention relates to a vehicle wheel comprising: a steel, in particular steel plate, rim for receiving a tire, wherein the rim has a steel, in particular steel plate, wheel disc which is non-detachably attached to the rim; and at least one design element made of steel, in particular of steel plate, attached to the rim and/or the wheel disc. The wheel disk and the design element have a common opening for receiving and/or passing the fastening means; a connecting structure is arranged between the wheel disc and the common opening on the design element. The connecting structure provides an attachment area for detachable attachment to the wheel carrier and keeps the wheel disc and the design element spaced apart in the attachment area. The opening and the connecting structure in the design element are formed to allow the fastening means to be received and/or passed through for attachment to the wheel carrier, and the attachment to the wheel carrier is achieved substantially only via the opening in the wheel disc. The fastening means is in direct contact with the opening in the wheel disc assigned to the fastening means.
