The invention discloses a vehicle. The vehicle includes: an electrical load; a generator; a battery; and a controller configured to control an operation of the generator based on a charging rate of the battery, identify a power generation margin rate representing a ratio of power that can be additionally output by the generator to maximum power that can be output by the generator based on a duty ratio of an input voltage applied to the generator, and reducing power consumption of the electrical load based on a comparison between the power generation margin rate and the target margin. The vehicle is capable of preventing or minimizing a voltage drop phenomenon of a generator by using a power generation margin of the generator.
