The invention provides a shift device which can maintain a gap of a sliding part between a shift fork and a sleeve and can reduce inclination of the sleeve relative to the shift fork. An engagement groove (17) is formed in the outer peripheral portion of the shift sleeve (4) over the entire circumferential direction, a cutout portion (21) is provided in a portion of the groove bottom of the engagement groove (17), the first diameter (D1) of the groove bottom of the cutout portion (21) is smaller than the second diameter (D2) of the groove bottom of the portion other than the cutout portion, and the shift fork (9) has an arc-shaped portion (16) covering the outer peripheral side of the groove bottom. The opening angle of a line connecting both end portions in the circumferential direction of the arc-shaped portion (16) and the center of the arc is larger than 180 degrees, the both end portions are respectively provided with claw portions (18) engaged with the engagement grooves (17), and the distance between the claw portions is larger than the first diameter (D1) and smaller than the second diameter (D2).
