The invention relates to the field of car stoppers, and particularly discloses an automatic centering type track car stopper which comprises a mounting seat with a positioning block and a guide groove, a stop arm assembly mounted on the mounting seat, a connecting rod, a stop arm, a rotating column, a shifting rod and a buckle, wherein the connecting rod, the stop arm and the rotating column form the stop arm assembly; the elastic reset assembly is connected between the stop arm assembly and the mounting seat; and the elastic reset assembly comprises a first push block, a second push block, a first tension spring and a second tension spring. By means of the elastic reset assembly, the stop arm assembly is fixed to the clamping included angle all the time, after deflection occurs, the stop arm assembly can reset to the clamping included angle again, the reliability of the stop arm assembly is guaranteed, swing is avoided, the derailing condition is effectively prevented, the structure is simple, and maintenance is easy.
