The invention relates to a hydrogen plug-in hybrid electric vehicle which comprises a vehicle and an energy complementing device. The vehicle comprises a power system, an energy storage system and a vehicle control system, the power system comprises an internal combustion engine and a motor, and the energy storage system comprises a high-pressure hydrogen storage tank, a high-pressure oxygen storage tank and a power battery; the energy complementing device comprises a charging system, a water electrolysis system, a compression air-entrapping system and an energy complementing control system. Compared with the prior art, the output energy distribution of the internal combustion engine and the motor is determined according to the residual energy of the energy storage system, the working condition of the internal combustion engine is optimized, and the preignition and knocking probability of the hydrogen internal combustion engine is effectively reduced; the energy complementing device comprises a charging system and an electrolyzed water system, and the endurance mileage of the vehicle is effectively improved under the condition that the battery is not increased by utilizing the mode that hydrogen is generated by electrolyzed water and hydrogen is added besides charging of the power battery.
