The invention provides an electromechanical brake booster device which uses a sensor to detect the displacement of a member linked with a brake pedal to drive a motor, avoids the design limitation related to the sensor and the enlargement of the device itself, and does not need the circumferential positioning related to the sensor. The present invention is provided with an input rod (20) that is connected to a brake pedal (BP), a control rod (40) that has a cylindrical body to be detected (220) attached to the outer peripheral surface thereof and that moves linearly in the axial direction in conjunction with the operation of the brake pedal (BP) in conjunction with the input rod (20), and a position sensor (52) that detects the displacement of the control rod (40), the position sensor (52) being disposed on the outside of the body to be detected (220). The displacement of the control lever (40) is detected by detecting the displacement of the detected body (220) by means of the position sensor (52).
