A plurality of multi-stage friction pair mechanisms are arranged on one side of the movable assembly, the multi-stage friction pair mechanisms are fixed to the base assembly, and the force application assembly applies friction force to the movable assembly through the multi-stage friction pair mechanisms. The problem that an existing elevator buffer is too large in braking deceleration is solved, the braking deceleration of the buffer is optimized by arranging a plurality of multi-stage friction pair mechanisms, the personal safety of passengers is guaranteed, and the safety of an elevator is improved.
