The invention provides a passenger conveying equipment inspection device and a passenger conveying equipment inspection method, which can enable maintenance personnel to quickly grasp abnormities of all steps. The passenger conveyor inspection device is provided with: a detection unit for detecting abnormalities associated with each of the plurality of steps on the basis of sensor information acquired by a sensor during a predetermined period in which the plurality of steps are driven by at least one cycle; and a generation unit that determines a step for which an abnormality has been detected by the detection unit on the basis of an image obtained by capturing an image of each of the plurality of steps by an image capturing device for a predetermined period of time, generating inspection result information in which abnormality information indicating an abnormality is associated with step information indicating a step in which the abnormality has been detected in configuration information in which step information indicating each of the plurality of steps is configured; and an output unit that outputs the inspection result information generated by the generation unit.
