The invention relates to a propulsion assembly comprising: an assembly output shaft (2152) adapted to drive one or more power receiving devices, the propulsion assembly further comprising a first output drive shaft, a second output drive shaft, and a second input shaft, the first input shaft is adapted to drive a first output drive shaft and is adapted to be driven by a first power supply unit, the first input shaft extending at an angle greater than 0 degrees and less than 180 degrees to the first output drive shaft, and the second input shaft is adapted to drive the first output drive shaft and is adapted to be driven by a second power supply unit, the second input shaft extends at an angle greater than 0 degrees and less than 180 degrees to the first output drive shaft, the second output drive shaft being adapted to be driven by a third power supply unit, the second output drive shaft extending at an angle greater than 0 degrees and less than 180 degrees to the assembly output shaft.
