The invention discloses a spatial dimension bus arrival time prediction method based on an IDA-RNN model, and the method employs the IDA-RNN model to carry out the prediction of the bus arrival time under the spatial dimension of a dual-attention recurrent neural network, and achieves the prediction of the bus arrival time through employing the influence of spatial change features in a time domain. Meanwhile, a prediction problem in a spatial domain is formulated by considering a car-following relationship before and after the bus runs, the arrival time of the bus is accurately and reliably predicted from a spatial dimension, important technical support is provided for realizing intelligent active bus management and control, and according to a prediction result of the arrival time of the bus, a prediction result of the arrival time of the bus is obtained. Traffic managers and organizers can formulate and perfect traffic operation and management measures accordingly to improve the operation efficiency of a public transportation system and scientifically arrange travel plans, so that the attraction of urban buses is effectively enhanced, the urban road traffic pressure is relieved, the travel experience of residents is improved, and the travel sharing rate of the buses is increased.
