The invention relates to the technical field of hoisting equipment, in particular to an auxiliary hoisting mechanism of a front lower protection assembly and a hoisting method. The auxiliary hoisting mechanism of the front lower protection assembly comprises a cross beam, a lifting arm, a stand column, a hoisting ring, a lifting module and a pressing rod. The cross beam is provided with at least two lifting arms at intervals in the length direction of the cross beam, and the at least two lifting arms can support the front lower protection assembly. One end of the stand column is vertically arranged in the center of the cross beam in the length direction. The pressing rod and the lifting arm can define a fixing frame surrounding the front lower protection assembly. The pressing rod is arranged on the lifting module in a position-adjustable mode so as to adjust the width of the fixing frame. The lifting module is arranged on the stand column in a lifting mode so that the lifting module can drive the pressing rod to rise and form a lateral opening in the fixing frame, or the pressing rod freely falls along with the lifting module and abuts against the front lower protection assembly. The hoisting method of the front lower protection assembly can meet the hoisting requirements of the front lower protection assemblies of different sizes, and the hoisting efficiency and universality are improved.
