Provided are: a liquid hydrocarbon production method for obtaining a rubber composition containing a liquid hydrocarbon by heating and crosslinking a rubber in a reaction solvent of an aldehyde having a boiling point of 230 DEG C or less and containing a hydrocarbon group having 2 or more carbon atoms at 300 DEG C or less; a re-crosslinked rubber obtained from the rubber composition manufactured by the manufacturing method: a tire; and rubber industrial articles. This method for producing a liquid hydrocarbon makes it possible to produce a liquid hydrocarbon having a higher molecular weight at a high decomposition rate even under mild conditions.
