The invention discloses a variable pitch propeller, relates to the technical field of aviation, and aims to solve the problem of low aerodynamic performance of the propeller caused by insufficient rotating speed of the propeller. The variable pitch propeller comprises a propeller hub, propeller blades, a push rod and a push disc arranged in the propeller hub, the push rod is used for being connected with the driving mechanism, the push rod penetrates through the propeller hub to be fixedly connected with the push disc, and the driving mechanism is used for controlling the push disc to ascend and descend by driving the push rod. The variable pitch propeller further comprises rotary connecting pieces which are rotatably arranged on the peripheral side of the propeller hub, the propeller roots of the propeller blades are connected with the outer side faces, facing the propeller hub, of the rotary connecting pieces, and the surfaces, deviating from the propeller roots, of the rotary connecting pieces are connected with the push disc. The variable pitch propeller provided by the invention is used in the aircraft.
