The invention relates to a polar region multi-dwelling robot crossing water, land, ice and snow. The polar region multi-dwelling robot is composed of a composite driving mechanism, a segmented machine body, a composite supporting mechanism, an electronic cabin and a solar panel. The energy utilization efficiency, the obstacle crossing ability, the manipulation and the autonomy of the robot are greatly improved compared with those of a common multi-habitat robot. The polar region multi-purpose robot has the capacity of passing through four media including ice, snow, water and land and medium transition areas. The polar region multi-habitat robot has four basic movement modes, so that the robot has the maneuvering capability of working in a polar region. And under the polar extreme climate condition, human beings are replaced for scientific research, rescue and other tasks.
