The centrifugal elevator speed limiter comprises a shell, a speed limiting piece and a rope clamping assembly, a centrifugal assembly drives a brake assembly to brake along with action of a rope wheel, the brake assembly comprises a brake sleeve, a brake disc, a brake drum, a friction assembly and a pull plate, the pull plate is arranged at one end of the brake sleeve, and pin shafts are connected to the two ends of the pull plate; the pin shaft at the upper end is connected with a pull rod in the rope clamping assembly, and the pin shaft at the lower end penetrates through a limiting hole formed in the shell and extends out of the shell; the roller drives the brake drum to rotate, when the brake drum rotates, the brake sleeve is driven to rotate through friction force, when the brake sleeve rotates, the pull plate is driven to rotate, when the pull plate rotates, on one hand, the safety circuit switch is closed, on the other hand, the rope pressing plate is driven to press the steel wire rope, and at the moment, the pull plate is limited in the through hole by the pin shaft; the brake sleeve is fixed along with the rope wheel, the rope wheel drives the brake drum to overcome the torque of the friction plate to continue to rotate, and the situation that impact force generated when the rope wheel stops instantaneously damages the speed limiter and abrades a rope groove, and consequently pulling force is increased is avoided.
