The invention provides a contraction length determination method and device, electronic equipment and a storage medium, and is applied to the field of vehicle steering systems.The method comprises the steps that level signals output by at least one Hall sensor respectively are detected; the Hall sensor is configured to cause that a level signal output by the Hall sensor jumps twice when the motor rotates by one circle; the motor rotates to drive the telescopic steering column to perform telescopic movement; and determining the contracted length of the telescopic steering column by utilizing the level signals respectively output by the at least one Hall sensor. The technology provided by the invention provides a scheme for determining the contracted length of the telescopic steering column at low cost.
