Described herein is an automobile tyre (100), in particular a high-performance or ultra-high-performance automobile tyre also suitable for use on racing tracks. A tread band (1) of a tire has a central region (L1) spaced apart from two shoulder regions (L2, L3), respectively an outer shoulder region (L2) and an inner shoulder region (L3). The width of the outer tire shoulder region (L2) is greater than the width of the inner tire shoulder region (L3). The outer tire shoulder region and the inner tire shoulder region are both provided with relatively large grooves (5, 6). In the outer shoulder region, the grooves (5) alternate with narrower grooves (7), thereby reducing the stiffness of the tire region only over a limited extent. And the central area of the tire is designed to have a lower void rubber ratio, and the void rubber ratio is equal to or less than 0.09.
