The invention relates to an energy management system and method for a hybrid vehicle. The energy management system for the hybrid vehicle comprises a travel plan planning module, a state of charge monitoring module and a historical record correction module. The travel plan planning module is configured to receive a travel plan of a user using the hybrid vehicle and plan a driving mode of the hybrid vehicle in the travel process according to the travel plan. The state of charge monitoring module is configured to monitor the state of charge of a battery of the hybrid vehicle; the historical record correction module is in communication connection with the state-of-charge monitoring module, and the historical record correction module is configured to receive historical driving data of the hybrid power vehicle, and when the value of the state-of-charge monitored by the state-of-charge monitoring module exceeds a first fluctuation range, the historical driving data of the hybrid power vehicle is corrected; and adjusting the driving mode of the hybrid vehicle based on the historical driving data.
