The invention discloses a lifting appliance for a transformer coil and a lifting method. The lifting appliance comprises a connecting piece, a bearing piece and a clamping piece, a lifting piece is arranged at one end of the connecting piece, a connecting hole is formed in the other end of the connecting piece, and the connecting piece is used for penetrating through the air channel so that the two ends of the connecting piece can be located outside the air channel; the bearing part is provided with a matching surface and an assembly hole, the end edge of the coil is used for abutting against the matching surface, the length of the matching surface is larger than or equal to the radial width of the coil, so that when the end edge of the coil abuts against the matching surface, the inner edge and the outer edge of the coil abutting against the bearing part are both located in the matching surface, and the assembly hole penetrates through the bearing part in the thickness direction of the bearing part. One end, close to the connecting hole, of the connecting piece penetrates through the assembling hole; the clamping piece is used for penetrating through the connecting hole so that the clamping piece can abut against the side face, away from the matching face, of the bearing piece. By the adoption of the lifting appliance, the risk that pouring resin at the bottom of the coil is damaged can be reduced, safety accidents are avoided, and follow-up disassembly of the lifting appliance after lifting is completed is facilitated.
