The invention provides an unmanned aerial vehicle-mounted migration type sonar detection system and method, and the system comprises an unmanned aerial vehicle platform, a buoy, an explosive sound source emitter, an explosive sound source, and a hanging type sonar sensor. The buoy is installed on a fuselage structure of the unmanned aerial vehicle platform and used for providing sufficient buoyancy to support the unmanned aerial vehicle platform to be parked on the water surface for operation. And the explosive sound source emitter is carried on the unmanned aerial vehicle platform and is used for accommodating a plurality of explosive sound sources and emitting the explosive sound sources in an operation area. The technical scheme adopted by the invention has the advantages of low cost, light weight and easiness in implementation, and can meet the actual requirements of low cost, unmanned large-range underwater target and terrain detection of small surface ships.
