The invention belongs to the technical field of automatic driving, and particularly relates to a method for processing failure of a vehicle-mounted foresight camera in an automatic driving system.The system comprises a plurality of ultrasonic radars, a plurality of millimeter-wave radars, the vehicle-mounted foresight camera and a vehicle-mounted all-round-looking camera, and the millimeter-wave radars are arranged at the front direction, the left front corner, the left rear corner, the right front corner and the right rear corner of a vehicle; the method for processing the failure of the vehicle-mounted foresight camera is characterized in that when the foresight camera loses efficacy, residual sensors such as a forward millimeter-wave radar on an automatic driving vehicle are utilized, a right guardrail and a right vehicle detected by the millimeter-wave radar are utilized, and an automatic driving strategy of driving rightward until parking is adopted; and the vehicle is parked at a safe position to wait for rescue or a driver takes over the vehicle.
