The invention discloses a novel locomotive brake main air reservoir installation structure which comprises a locomotive body, an installation beam, an installation bottom support and a fixing clamping belt, the installation beam comprises a first cross beam, a bent beam and a second cross beam which are sequentially connected, and the side wall of the first cross beam and the side wall of the second cross beam are fixedly connected with the locomotive body. The radius of the bent beam is matched with the outer diameter of a brake main air cylinder. Two ends of the fixing clamping belt are respectively connected with the first beam and the second beam; an annular structure for limiting the upper part of the braking main air cylinder is defined by the fixing clamping belt and the mounting beam; the installation bottom support is fixedly connected with the vehicle body and located below the installation beam, and the installation bottom support is provided with a bearing part for bearing the lower end of the brake main air cylinder. According to the installation structure, an integrated design method is adopted, the vehicle body steel structure and the main air cylinder installation structure are complementary while the structural light weight is completed, and the reliability of the vehicle body steel structure and the brake main air cylinder installation structure is improved.
