The method comprises the following steps: receiving an original thermal infrared image with pose element information issued by an unmanned aerial vehicle; calculating an exterior orientation element of the original thermal infrared image in a terrestrial photography coordinate system; performing ortho-rectification on the original thermal infrared image according to the exterior orientation element to generate a thermal infrared ortho-image; adding a layer for recording the image height of the pixel point in the original thermal infrared image in the thermal infrared orthoimage; splicing the thermal infrared orthoimage and the spliced image, and carrying out image fusion on the gray value of the overlapping region of the thermal infrared orthoimage and the spliced image by adopting a gradual-in and gradual-out method according to the value of the image height IH; and loading the updated spliced image into a GIS (Geographic Information System) of a ground control end, and carrying out superposition and real-time display on the spliced image and an existing satellite base map of the observation area.
