The invention belongs to the technical field of automobiles, and particularly relates to a power-on and power-off control system and method suitable for a hydrogen fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle. The power-on and power-off control system comprises a vehicle control unit VCU, a power battery management system BMS, an all-in-one controller, a hydrogen fuel cell system, a fuel cell stack, a power battery cooling system TMS, a motor controller MCU, an emergency stop switch and a hybrid switch. According to the power-on and power-off control method, the power-on and power-off control system is operated through the vehicle control unit VCU, the pure electric drive power-on and power-off process, the fuel cell starting power-on and power-off process and control over a hydrogen fuel electric pile can be completed, and vehicle starting and fuel cell starting and stopping are efficiently and stably controlled. The problems that an existing fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle is high in manufacturing cost, complex in control system and lack of mature power-on and power-off control strategies are solved.
