The invention provides a damping coefficient visualized adjustment type eddy current damping device and a using method, and belongs to the technical field of eddy current damping devices. The device comprises a shell, a rotating shaft assembly restrained in the shell through a bearing, a left stator, a right stator, an adjusting nut, a bearing cover and a first flat key, wherein the left stator and the right stator are matched with the rotating shaft assembly; the adjusting nut is arranged in the shell and used for adjusting the left stator and the right stator; the bearing cover is used for being matched with the shell to restrain the adjusting nut; the second flat key is used for fixing the right stator in the bearing cover; and the locking cover is used for fixing the adjusting nut. According to the damping device, the adjusting nut with the scales is combined with the locking cover, the damping coefficient can be adjusted in place at a time according to the target value by aligning the scale value, the damping coefficient adjustment is visualized, reciprocating test confirmation is reduced, and the adjusting efficiency is improved.
