A vehicle detection device is provided with: an image acquisition unit (401) that acquires a reflected light image indicating the intensity distribution of reflected light and a background light image indicating the intensity distribution of ambient light; a distinguishing detection unit (402) that distinguishes and detects a vehicle region and an accessory region from the background light image; an intensity determination unit (405) that determines the level of the light intensity of the background light image and the level of the light intensity of the reflected light image for the vehicle region detected by the discrimination detection unit (402); a suitability determination unit (406) that determines the suitability of the arrangement of the accessory region on the basis of the intensity distribution in the reflected light image for the accessory region detected by the discrimination detection unit (402); and a vehicle detection unit (407) that detects a vehicle using the levels of the light intensities of the background light image and the reflected light image, and the suitability of the arrangement of the accessory region.

    车辆检测装置具备:图像获取部(401),获取表示反射光的强度分布的反射光图像、和表示环境光的强度分布的背景光图像;区分检测部(402),从背景光图像区分检测车辆区域和配件区域;强度确定部(405),对通过区分检测部(402)检测出的车辆区域,确定背景光图像和反射光图像各自的光强度的高低;妥当性判断部(406),对通过区分检测部(402)检测出的配件区域,根据反射光图像中的强度分布,判断配件区域的配置的妥当性;以及车辆检测部(407),使用背景光图像和反射光图像各自的光强度的高低、以及配件区域的配置的妥当性,来检测车辆。
