The invention relates to a fork loading robot used for installing a transformer. The fork loading robot used for installing the transformer comprises a crawler-type moving chassis used for moving, walking and supporting; the lifting structure is movably arranged on the crawler-type movable chassis and is used for moving up and down; the forking platform is connected with the lifting structure and used for inserting a to-be-installed transformer. According to the forking robot for installing the transformer, the to-be-installed transformer can be reliably stretched out, drawn back and lifted within the operation range through the crawler-type movable chassis, the lifting structure and the forking platform, the position of the to-be-installed transformer can be adjusted in the left-right direction and the front-back direction, and the to-be-installed transformer is moved out of or moved into the rack in the process of installing the to-be-installed transformer; manual operation and crane operation are effectively replaced, follow-up installation of the transformer to be installed is facilitated, and the operation of assembling and disassembling the transformer to be installed is carried out on a power distribution network rack; the problems that an existing tool for installing a transformer in a transformer substation is inconvenient to walk and prone to electric shock risks are solved.
