The invention discloses a method for monitoring the braking failure risk of a vehicle on a long downhill road segment, and the method comprises the steps: collecting the GPS data, IMU data and oil consumption data of the vehicle in real time, so as to detect whether the vehicle drives into the long downhill road segment or not; if yes, acquiring running parameters of the vehicle in real time, and establishing a real-time running model of the vehicle on the long downhill road section; the operation parameters comprise a horn whistling state, a danger alarm lamp state, a transverse deviation distance of a right lane of the vehicle, a steering wheel included angle, a right turn lamp state, an opening and closing amplitude of a brake pedal, opening and closing times of the brake pedal and the speed of the vehicle; the real-time operation model is compared with a pre-established failure operation model to obtain the similarity between the real-time operation model and the failure operation model, and the failure operation model is established according to operation parameters of the vehicle in the long downhill road section in the braking failure state; and determining the brake failure risk of the vehicle based on the similarity between the real-time operation model and the failure operation model.
