The invention relates to the technical field of expressway equipment, and particularly discloses expressway automatic monitoring equipment which comprises a stand column arranged on a road, the stand column is provided with a display screen, a camera and a radar velometer which are electrically connected with an external controller, and the upper end of the stand column is provided with a shielding plate capable of shielding rain. A collecting unit is arranged on the road in front of the stand column and comprises a plurality of vertical shaft impellers, a power generation device and a storage battery pack, the vertical shaft impellers are used for rotating under the action of airflow generated when a vehicle passes through, and the power generation device is connected to rotating shafts of the vertical shaft impellers and used for converting kinetic energy of the vertical shaft impellers into electric energy. The storage battery pack is electrically connected with the power generation device; a protection unit is arranged on the front side of the camera and comprises a vertical shell, an axial vertical first blade and a first channel are arranged in the shell, a driving device is arranged in the shell below the first blade, a rotating shaft of the first blade is connected with an output shaft of the driving device, one end of the first channel is communicated with the outside of the shell, and the other end of the first channel is communicated with the outside of the shell. The other end of the first channel communicates with the interior of the shell below the first blade through a penetrating through hole, and the controller is used for controlling the storage battery pack to power on the driving device. According to the scheme, the problem that camera image acquisition work and clear screen display are affected by mosquito gathering and dust adhesion around existing equipment can be solved.
