A road information generation device (50) is provided with: a camera (1a) that detects an external condition around a host vehicle; a road end recognition unit (111) that recognizes, on the basis of the external condition detected by the camera (1a), a boundary line for defining the road on which the host vehicle travels; and a setting unit (114) that sets an entrance position or an exit position of an intersection present in front of the host vehicle on the basis of the rate of change in the distance from a reference line extending in the direction of travel of the host vehicle to the boundary line recognized by the road end recognition unit (111).
