The invention relates to the technical field of steering systems, in particular to a self-adaptive compensation method for low-temperature friction torque of a steering system. The self-adaptive compensation method for the low-temperature friction torque of the steering system comprises a signal processing module; a low-temperature friction compensation working condition judgment module; a low-temperature friction compensation torque calculation module; and a phase compensation module. Compared with the prior art, the self-adaptive compensation method for the low-temperature friction torque of the steering system is provided, different working conditions of a vehicle are recognized, adaptive compensation strategies are designed according to friction force characteristics under the different working conditions, and the adverse effect of friction force on the hand feeling under the low-temperature environment is reduced; and the stability and the consistency of the driving hand feeling are improved.
