The invention relates to a vehicle control method, a single-motor hybrid power system, computer equipment, a computer readable storage medium and a computer program product. The method comprises the steps that when it is detected that a vehicle meets the condition of entering pure electric drive, a brake is controlled to be connected, so that an engine cannot drive a gear ring to rotate, a sun gear is driven by a motor to rotate, a planet carrier is driven by the sun gear to rotate, and a differential mechanism is driven by the planet carrier to operate, and therefore the vehicle enters a pure electric drive mode; and when it is detected that the vehicle meets the condition of entering the hybrid drive, the brake is controlled to be disengaged, so that the sun gear rotates under the driving of the motor, the gear ring rotates under the driving of the engine, the planet carrier rotates under the driving of the sun gear and the gear ring, and the differential mechanism operates under the driving of the planet carrier so as to enter a hybrid drive mode. Compared with an existing dual-motor hybrid power system, the structure of the hybrid power system scheme is most simplified, and the performance of the hybrid power system scheme is optimized.
