The invention relates to a battery self-heating method, a motor controller, a battery manager and a vehicle controller, and aims to improve the battery self-heating rate and efficiency. The method is applied to a motor controller and comprises the steps that a battery self-heating instruction is responded, a target heating current frequency and a maximum chargeable and dischargeable current threshold value are received, a target charging and discharging current amplitude value is determined according to the maximum chargeable and dischargeable current threshold value, the target heating current frequency is determined according to the current temperature and the current impedance of a power battery pack, and the target charging and discharging current amplitude value is determined according to the maximum chargeable and dischargeable current threshold value. The maximum chargeable and dischargeable current threshold value is determined according to the current temperature and the current battery load state of the power battery pack; and controlling according to the target charge-discharge current amplitude and the target heating current frequency so as to heat the power battery pack.
