The invention relates to a state monitoring device of a ship electric propulsion system, which comprises an upper computer and a ship electric propulsion system comprising an inverter and a main propulsion motor, and further comprises a signal processing unit and a state monitoring sensor, and the input signal processing unit is used for processing the signals to obtain state characteristics and outputting the state characteristics to an upper computer. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages that the operation states of insulation of a plurality of IGBTs and a motor winding in the system can be monitored at the same time, the safety is high, and the original equipment structure does not need to be changed.
