The invention belongs to the field of vehicle control systems, and particularly relates to a single-double-axle driving mode switching control method which comprises the following steps: a single-double-axle driving mode switching cycle judgment process: receiving gear type data; judging gear type data, and determining to switch to a double-axle driving mode or to receive positive and negative values of required torque of the whole vehicle; judging positive and negative values of the required torque of the whole vehicle, and determining to switch to a double-axle driving mode or receive road adhesion condition data; judging road adhesion condition data, and determining to switch to a double-axle driving mode or judging whether the last period is a single-axle driving mode or not; if the last period is the single-axle driving mode, whether the mode needs to be switched to the double-axle mode or the single-axle mode needs to be kept or not is judged according to the dynamic property; and if the last period is the double-bridge driving mode, judging whether to switch to the single-bridge mode or keep the double-bridge mode. On the premise that the cost of the whole vehicle is not increased, self-adaptive single-double axle driving mode switching is achieved, and the whole vehicle performance such as economical efficiency, dynamic property and safety is considered.
