The invention discloses a high-altitude self-dismounting climbing frame of a tower crane and a mounting method. The high-altitude self-dismounting climbing frame comprises a rear U-shaped half frame and a front U-shaped half frame, the rear U-shaped half frame comprises a rear U-shaped climbing frame main body, the front U-shaped half frame comprises a front U-shaped climbing frame main body, and main limb lug plates are arranged at the top ends of the two climbing frame main bodies; after the rear U-shaped half frame and the front U-shaped half frame are installed, the rear U-shaped half frame and the front U-shaped half frame are spliced through a connecting component. The front U-shaped half frame and the rear U-shaped half frame can be independently installed, the climbing frame tower crane can be automatically disassembled and assembled, and therefore the climbing frame of the tower crane can be installed, disassembled and transported more safely and efficiently.
