The invention relates to an elevator diagnosis device and an elevator diagnosis method, which can diagnose a diagnosis object of an elevator without worsening operability. The elevator diagnostic device diagnoses an object to be diagnosed of an elevator by means of non-contact vibration measurement, and is provided with: a radar for obtaining a measurement signal including a vibration component of the object; a determination unit that determines filter settings for separating vibration components by different distances and/or different orientations with respect to a measurement signal obtained using the radar; a separation unit that separates the vibration component while shifting the determined filter setting; an extraction unit that extracts the vibration component of the object to be diagnosed by comparing the change over time of the vibration component separated by the separation unit with the operation information of the elevator acquired by the acquisition unit; and a diagnosis unit that diagnoses the object to be diagnosed on the basis of the extracted vibration component.
