The invention relates to the technical field of automatic driving, and provides a vehicle lane changing control method and device, electronic equipment and a readable storage medium. The method comprises the steps that under the condition that it is detected that a vehicle and a target vehicle intend to change lanes to the same lane, the target collision time when the vehicle collides with the target vehicle is predicted in real time, and under the condition that the target collision time is smaller than or equal to first preset collision time and larger than second preset collision time, the target vehicle is started to change lanes. Controlling to start an electronic stability control system ESC; when it is detected that the target collision time obtained through real-time prediction after the ESC is started is smaller than or equal to third preset collision time, torque request signals are continuously sent to the electric power steering system EPS till the target collision time obtained through real-time prediction is larger than the third preset collision time. According to the vehicle lane changing control method provided by the invention, the driving safety is improved.
