The invention belongs to the field of helicopter special equipment, and particularly relates to a helicopter side door parachute landing system and a design method thereof, and the helicopter side door parachute landing system comprises a parachute opening pull rope device (10), a cabin door blocking device (20), a floor mooring ring (30) and a cabin door mooring ring (40); the parachute opening pull rope device is fixed to a bottom plate in a cabin through a floor mooring ring and used for being connected with a parachute opening structure of a parachute. The cabin door blocking device is installed at the side door through the cabin door mooring ring, located between the first structural frame and the second structural frame and used for being grabbed by parachute landing personnel to avoid accidental falling.
