The invention relates to the technical field of ocean robots, in particular to a foldable wave energy self-sufficient ocean robot which comprises a floating platform and power generation buoys, in the foldable wave energy self-sufficient ocean robot, the power generation buoys are evenly distributed on the periphery of the floating platform through outward expansion of suspenders, the wave sensing power generation capacity is improved, and meanwhile the floating stability of the floating platform is improved; by controlling the combination state between the robot body and the floating platform, the robot can be controlled to be lifted away from the sea surface after the overhaul and maintenance period is finished, then the contact soaking time between the robot and seawater is shortened in the deep-sea aquaculture period, and the service life of the robot is prolonged.
