The invention discloses a monitoring method for snapshot data and electronic equipment, and relates to the technical field of traffic. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a first time sequence formed by at least one group of snapshot data in a set time range; based on part or all of the first time series, applying a target exponential smoothing model to perform prediction to obtain a second time series formed by respective prediction data of at least one target object in a set time range; the target time type is different time periods of workdays, different time periods of holidays or different time periods of weekends; calculating a target variance according to the first time sequence and the second time sequence; the target variance is used for describing the closeness degree of the first time sequence and the second time sequence; and if the first time sequence and the second time sequence do not meet a variance condition formed by the target variance or do not meet a target threshold, determining that the snapshot data in the first time sequence is abnormal. The snapshot data can be accurately monitored, so that the snapshot data can be timely processed when being abnormal.
