The present invention relates to a charging base station for a robot and a charging method for a robot, the charging base station, which is an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a base station main body having a space therein, the base station main body being disposed on the ground so that the robot can approach and climb; a rotating unit disposed in the base station main body and coupled to the base station main body so as to be capable of relative rotation; and a charging part coupled to an upper portion of the rotating part and rotated together with the rotating part by rotation of the rotating part, the charging part having a power supply terminal for charging the robot.
