The invention relates to the field of load prediction of energy optimization, and discloses a large-scale electric vehicle charging load calculation method and device. According to the method, the user behavior and daily mileage problems of common electric vehicles are considered, probability modeling is carried out on the mileage of the electric vehicles in cities and towns, and a daily mileage probability model is obtained; the method comprises the following steps: carrying out probability modeling on initial charging time of an electric vehicle within one day by considering actual requirements of an electric vehicle user to obtain an initial charging time probability model; analyzing charging power behaviors of different electric vehicles, and establishing corresponding charging power probability models; the battery capacity of common electric vehicles on the market is considered, modeling is carried out on electric vehicle battery capacity probability distribution, a battery capacity probability model is obtained, and theoretical support is provided for fusion and interaction of a power distribution network and the electric vehicles.
