Determining positioning accuracy in autonomous and semi-autonomous systems and applications is disclosed. In various examples, accuracy determination for positioning in autonomous and semi-autonomous systems and applications is described herein. Systems and methods for determining one or more errors associated with vehicle positioning using various types of sensor data generated with a vehicle are disclosed. For example, a first component of a vehicle may determine an estimated attitude of the vehicle using a map and first sensor data. A second component of the vehicle may then determine one or more errors associated with the estimated pose based on actual motion of the vehicle within the environment (as determined using the second sensor data) and comparing features represented by the first sensor data to features represented by the map. In some examples, the second component may further determine information associated with the error, such as one or more uncertainties associated with the error.
