The present invention relates to a method of adhering a device to a tire, the method comprising: applying an adhesive to a surface of the device, where applying the adhesive comprises: applying an inner portion (14) of the adhesive to the surface of the device (20); and applying an outer wire (16) of adhesive to the surface of the device, wherein the outer wire of adhesive at least partially surrounds the inner portion of adhesive; the method further includes applying the device to the tire, where applying the device (20) to the tire includes applying pressure to the device to spread the inner portion (14) and the outer thread (16) of adhesive on the device to create a uniform film of adhesive between the device and the tire. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a tire comprising the method of adhering a device to a tire.
